Overview: The event will provide a review and discussion of the speakers’ experiences shifting Clinical Services for adults and children with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) to be completed remotely, and provide an overview of agency-wide considerations from a community-based provider. Topics to be reviewed include addressing health and safety concerns, updating technology needs, completing consents for change in service modality, organizing no-contact access to necessary programming materials and supplies, minimizing traffic in group homes and providing virtual services, providing a meaningful day for participants sheltering-in-place, addressing participant virus and hygiene skill development needs, proactively addressing participant and staff mental health and self-care needs, preventing burnout, and accessing grants and other resources.
