FOOD SERVICE WORKER – PART TIME (27.5 hours/week 8 a.m. to 1:30 pm)
Oak Park Township is seeking a part time Food Service Worker to serve as a member of the Senior Services team to help the Township achieve its mission of: 1) addressing the needs of our community by providing nutritious meals and opportunities for recreation, education, and socialization for older adults; 2) assisting with the operation of the nutrition site in an open, inclusive, and fiscally responsible manner while maintaining or improving service quality to staff, program participants, vendors and other partners; 3) assisting with opportunities for increased collaboration with community partners and providing volunteer opportunities to enhance service provision while conserving funds.
The Food Service Staff Worker will:
· Package and serve meals for older adults who dine in our nutrition site or receive delivery of meals in their homes while ensuring adherence to food safety guidelines throughout the service day
· Set tables and serve food to older adults
· Aide nutrition staff and volunteers in successful daily operations of the nutrition site
· Stock supplies for the site and inform Nutrition Lead of inventory needs
· Create a friendly, open, and welcoming environment by engaging with participants, volunteers, and staff.
· Act as a team player by providing staff coverage for other members of the Nutrition team as needed.
· Utilize food sanitation skillset to maintain high level of food safety at all times.
The position requires a High School Diploma, ServSafe Food Protection Manager Sanitation Certification, and at least one year of experience in a food service environment. Successful candidates must possess strong interpersonal skills, work well as part of a team, demonstrate tact, and show sensitivity to the needs of older adults. A background check and pre-employment test will be required for all candidates. Experience with Microsoft Office, databases and applicant tracking systems a plus.

CARE COORDINATION & BILLING SPECIALIST - FULL TIME
Oak Park Township is seeking a full time Care Coordination & Billing Specialist. This position is responsible for
working seamlessly with the Care Coordination team and other Township staff to ensure the smooth operation of
billing, data collection, and quality assurance metrics for local, state, and federal services. In addition, this
position holds a half-time case load as a Care Coordinator with responsibility to provide case management for
older adults to maximize functioning and independence within the community.
The Care Coordination & Billing Specialist will:
• Process billing for all participant assessments
• Maintain Illinois Department on Aging database accuracy, completing updates as needed
• Provide quality assurance to ensure all cases assessed and billed within IDOA fiscal year
• Advocate on behalf of participants and their caregivers
• Educate residents about programs and services for older adults available in the community
• Conduct in-home comprehensive assessments that identify needs of the older adult client
• Develop care plans with clients to ensure needs are addressed and coordinated with service providers
• Support the client in obtaining or maintaining public entitlements and all community-based programs
• Identify & develop support systems that promote independent living and community integration
• Perform responsibilities of the role in accordance with local, state, and federal funding standards
• Maintain hardcopy/electronic files & reports for program reconciliation and audits
• Archive files according to Township regulations
• Provide support for state, senior center, and NAPIS computer systems
• Handle technology support requests from the Case Management team
• Provide support to the team during transition to web-based database
Requirements of the position:
• Bachelor's degree in social work or related field
• Current driver's license, proof of auto insurance and access to an automobile
• Successful completion of the Illinois Department on Aging Community Care Program training within
three months of hire
• Basic knowledge of computer systems including hardware, troubleshooting, basic database
environments, applicant tracking systems, Windows 10, and Microsoft Office 365 and web-based
applications
• Basic knowledge of Older Americans Act Services, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, SSDI, and the
Community Care Program is preferred
• Excellent communication, active listening, and writing skills; bilingual a plus
• Previous experience in service provision to older adults helpful with practical knowledge of the social,
psychological, and physiologic aspects of aging

RECEPTIONIST – PART TIME
(Monday through Thursday, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 pm,

Oak Park Township is seeking a part-time Receptionist to serve as a member of the Senior
Services team to help the Township achieve its mission of: 1) addressing the needs of our
community by providing a positive customer service experience for visitors and callers; 2)
assisting with the operation of the front office in an open, inclusive, and fiscally responsible
manner while maintaining or improving service quality to staff, program participants, vendors
and other partners; 3) providing a positive and efficient phone experience for callers.
The Receptionist will:
• Manage the switchboard and direct calls accordingly
• Answer simple requests from callers and visitors and forward other requests to
appropriate personnel
• Make appointments for programs and work with community partners for scheduling
and appointment setup information
• Stock and order supplies for the site and inform of inventory needs
• Create a friendly, open, and welcoming environment by engaging with guests,
volunteers, and staff
• Act as a team player by providing staff coverage for other members of the front office
team as needed
• Utilize various office equipment and computer skills as needed
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills
Successful candidates must be dependable, organized, possess strong interpersonal skills, work
