Director Mahn and staff and Thrive were available as well. There had been several complaints prior to this incident about this individual. Thomas reported that a new policy and procedures will be created by Mahn moving forward for these types of events. He also reported that the idea of a safety officer is being discussed. Trybus asked what budget that individual would be paid from. Thomas stated the nutrition program would fund that, if it occurs.

    • Trustee Munoz reported that the Senior Services Committee had not met due to a lack of quorum. On September 24th, the Seniors will have their wine & cheese event at Cooper’s Hawk. On October 25th there will be a networking event sponsored by Aging Out.
  • CMHB
    • Trustee Davis reported on the success of the West Cook Suicide Prevention Workshop that was held on September 18-19th at the Hyatt in Oak Brook. He stated that there is an ongoing conversation that this might become an annual event which was suggested by State Representative Linsey from LaPorte. Director Potts reported that the CMHB will be working with the OPRF Chamber of Commerce on multiple events throughout October for Nation Disability in the Workplace Month. The CMHB is working on their strategic plan. There has been a request made by WSSR to the CMHB for $1400 in a grant. The CMBC is actively recruiting a new Board Member and hopes to have one in place by the end of November. Potts met with the Village to have proclamation for Suicide Prevention Month. They are working on a “Living Room” space at Rush Oak Park Hospital. This would call on a funding commitment from Forest Park and River Forest as well as the CMHB. This would be a three-year pilot project.
