MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE OAK PARK TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD TUESDAY, APRIL 8, 2025, CONDUCTED IN-PERSON AND ELECTRONICALLY.

Roll Call
In person-Manager Evan Michel; Supervisor, Tim Thomas, Trustee Eric Davis, Trustee Margaret Trybus, Trustee Ade Onayemi, Trustee Juan Munoz; Township Attorney John Garfalo; Clerk DaToya Burtin-Cox.
Trustee Davis made a motion to accept the consent agenda with clerical corrections. Trustee Trybus seconded the motion. The Board voted unanimously to approve.
Business Items
Authorization to execute an agreement for audit services
The Township has received 2 proposal
proposal from current auditor
proposal from new audit service agency-L&A
Township manager is recommending going with a new agency
Trustee Trybus inquired whether the new agency will have a dedicated personnel assigned to the Township
Trustee Munoz Suggested that the Township obtained new audit services from a new agency every nine years
Trustee Davis Questioned the similarity between the figures quoted for the services by both agencies. Made the observation that the agency were only a few dollars apart in their quote for costs
A motion to approve the entry of new audit service from L&A Was made by Trustee Onayemi. The motion was seconded by Trustee Trybus. The board voted unanimously to approve the motion.
Approval of fiscal year 2026 tentative budget and appropriation
Final approval of the budget will be made in six months
The divisions presented their tentative budget at the annual meeting and will present more formal budgets to the board.
Motion to accept the tentative budget was made by Trustee Davis. The motion was seconded by Trustee Trybus. The board voted unanimously to approve the motion.
Proclamation recognizing older Americans month for 2025
Motion to accept the tentative Budget made by Trustee Trybus. The motion was seconded by Trustee Munoz. The board unanimously Approve the motion.
Adoption of a resolution opposing Township consolidation
Motion was made by Trustee Trybus To adopt the resolution with minor changes in the language.
Trustee Onayemi seconded the motion and the board voted unanimously to approve.
