Approval of Minutes: February 25, 2025

Approval of Bills

• Trustee Trybus made a motion to accept the consent agenda. Trustee Davis  seconded the motion. The Board voted unanimously to approve.

  • The manager has put together a text of the document
  • the final form of the document will be available to the board after graphics have been included 
  • Trustee Davis I asked about including the language of sustainability and energy efficiency in the document 
  • Trustee Trybus asked about where the document will be made available: At the board meeting; at the annual meeting; pushed outside the community

Brief Reports:

• Township Manager
  • Attended meeting with the D97 Administration Supervisor and Deputy Supervisor 
    • The lack of financial support for long term supportive programming in the district 
    • Directed YFS director to draft proposal for the administration outlining services and the cost 
      • room for us already tributes $15,000 or three years of services
      • Trustee Trybus asked that the write up include the history of the program as well as the financials 
    • Discuss title one money going to Yemba and Friday night. 
      • Programming potentially conflicts with YFS programming
  • Supervisor Thomas is working to make sure that it is understood that Township programs are supportive [in addition] of other programs 
  • Celebrating seniors week
    • nomination form for lifetime achievement award if online 
  • The governor budget initiatives on Township consolidation 
    • a bill was introduced and executive committee 
    • manager Mitchel and Supervisor Thomas Rule of 10 lobby day on March the 19th 
  • YEP and you will ask 
    • a three-year commitment agreement, last entered into in 2024 
  • Trustee Munoz brought up the old park chamber program NEXT 
    • Program subsidizes uh interns
• Township Supervisor  

• • Attended staff meeting 
    • staff may contact the board regarding raises 
      • in the raises were 5% 
      • This year the raise is approximately 3% based on budgetary constraint 
  • Bill 2504 - Township consolidation 
    • • Bill 2515 is an add on 
  • the manager evaluation will occur at the next board meeting
  • D97 meeting  
    • appreciate the conversation 
    • interested in equitable partnerships 
    • Trustee Davis I asked if it would be prudent to curate the Township initiative to support the D97 Superintendent goals

Youth and Family Services (Trustee Trybus)

• Joint meeting with senior services  
  • 30 people were in attendance 
  • Discuss intergenerational programming 
    • wonder works with seeking things to assist in a five week program 
    • Chess Academy 
    • Mural program 
    • beet root program, community garden at brooks 
      • awarded $10,000 

Senior Services Committee (Trustee Davis)

• Joint meeting with Youth and Family Services  

Community Mental Health Board 

• No Meeting

I-GOV (Trustee Onayemi)

• Meeting to be held on March 15th

• motion to adjourn was made by Trustee Davis. Motion was seconded by Trustee Onayemi. The board voted unanimously to adjourn.
