Tax Appeals Now Open; Appeal Seminar August 6th 

Oak Park, Illinois – Oak Park property owners who wish to file 2024 assessment appeals with the Cook County Board of Review can do so now. The official appeal period is expected to open in the first full week of August, but taxpayers can file now using the ‘prefile’ process.

The Oak Park Township Assessor’s office can assist local property owners with their appeals. Residents should call (708) 383-8005 to set up an appointment.

In addition, the Cook County Board of Review will be hosting a tax appeal seminar on Tuesday, August 6th at 6:30 PM at Brooks Middle School, located at 325 S. Kenilworth Avenue in Oak Park.

At the meeting, representatives from the office of Board of Review Commissioner Larry Rogers, Jr. will explain the appeal process and help residents file appeals. The meeting is co-sponsored by the Oak Park Township Assessor’s office and several other offices.

We will send out more information once the ‘prefile’ period ends and Oak Park Township’s official appeal period begins.
