MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE OAK PARK TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES HELD TUESDAY, JULY 30, 2024, CONDUCTED IN-PERSON AND ELECTRONICALLY.

Call To Order and Roll Call

Clerk DaToya Burtin-Cox called the meeting to order at 8:20 p.m.

The meeting was conducted in-person and electronically. On the call of the roll the following participated in-person: Trustee Davis, Trustee Ade Onayemi, Trustee Tim Thomas, Trustee Margaret Trybus, Township Attorney, John Garofalo, Township Manager E. Michel, Clerk, DaToya Burtin-Cox.

Public Comments

None.

Consent Agenda

  • Minutes from June 25, 2024, and bills for the period of June 15 through July 12, 2024 approved by the board with clerical modifications.
  • A motion was made by Trustee Onayemi and seconded by Trustee Davis. The board voted unanimously to approve the consent agenda.

Business Items

  • Approval of the decennial committees report on government efficiency.
    • Motion was made by Trustee Thomas and seconded by Trustee Davis. The board voted unanimously to approve.
    • The board David thanked Trustee Trybus for assisting with the review and correction to the report.
  • Adoption of ballot initiative and referendum position
    • motion made by Trustee Onayemi and seconded by Trustee Davis

Discussion Items

  • Strategic planning phase II and III
    • Discussion tabled until August board meeting

Brief Reports:

Township Manager

  • Open house for senior services reschedule to August
  • Looking for new auditor for next year for the Township
  • Contract for Information Services assessed at $7000
  • Looking into Paylocity human resource service related to armed boarding and recruitment

Township Supervisor

  • No report.

Trustee Liaison Committee Members

  • Liaison reports tabled until August
  • CMHB Will be issuing a suicide hotline flyer

Adjournment of General Meeting at 9:20pm. Motion made by Trustee Trybus and seconded by Trustee Thomas. The board voted unanimously to approve.
