Creating Connections:

Donate through the OPRF Community Foundation
to Help Older Adults Stay Connected

Senior Services of Oak Park and River Forest Townships is grateful to the Women Leaders in Philanthropy, a giving group of the Oak Park-River Forest Community Foundation.  A $12,700 grant was awarded in October 2020 for the “Creating Connectedness” program which provides computer tablets and Wi-Fi capacity for older adult residents to enable them to participate more fully in community programs and activities.  Monthly subscription donations of $58.00 for the Creating Connectedness program may be made directly to the Community Foundation at this link.

Program participants from the following projects received devices:

  • Memory Café – partnership with Oak Park and River Forest Libraries
  • Great Neighbors – partnership with Little Brothers Friends of the Elderly and Arbor West Neighbors
  • Foster Grandparent Program – partnership with Collaboration for Early Childhood
