Township Updates for March 19, 2020

Effective March 19, 2020

Due to the Emergency Declaration from the Village of Oak Park along with the Order to Shelter in Place, which is effective tomorrow, Friday, March 20th through April 3rd, Oak Park Township is continuing to adapt procedures to safely serve residents. The Township is providing essential services; meals, transportation to medical appointments, tele-appointments and well-being checks for Youth Services, Senior Services, and General Assistance clients. Staff that are able to do this work from home are doing so.

For public health and safety, we are encouraging members of the public to stay home and shelter in place, per the order of the Village. For those that must come in for services from the Township, we are asking them to reach out before coming in. Please call ahead weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.:

The Township is also supporting our social services partners in the community, both directly and in a coordinating role. We will reassess throughout the day and going forward, as situations and the necessary responses change. Thank you for your support.
