MINUTES OF THE PUBLIC HEARING ON TOWNSHIP TAX LEVY ORDINANCE FOR
2017 AND REGULAR MEETING OF THE OAK PARK TOWNSHIP BOARD OF
TRUSTEES HELD TUESDAY, DECEMBER 11, 2018, AT THE OAK PARK TOWNSHIP
HALL, 105 SOUTH OAK PARK AVENUE, OAK PARK, ILLINOIS
CALL TO ORDER
Clerk White called the Public Hearing on the Tentative Township Tax Levy for 2018 to
order at 7:00 p.m. There being no public questions or comments, the Clerk closed the
public hearing.
CALL TO ORDER AND ROLL CALL
Supervisor Keenan called the Regular Meeting to order at 8:14 p.m. On the call of the roll
the following were present: Supervisor Clarmarie Keenan, Trustees Ade Onayemi,
Margaret Trybus, Eric Davis, Michelle Wiley and Clerk Gregory White. Township Manager
Gavin Morgan and Township Attorney John Garofalo were also present.
APPROVAL OF CONSENT AGENDA
Trustee Davis moved to approve the Consent Agenda, including the Minutes of the
November 14, 2018 Regular Board of Trustees Meeting, Minutes of the November 14,
2018 Executive Session Meeting and Township Bills for the period: November 10, 2018
through December 7, 2018. Trustee Onayemi seconded the motion which passed
unanimously.
APPROVAL OF 2018 TOWNSHIP TAX LEVY ORDINANCE
Board members gave final review to the 2018 Tax Levy Ordinance, as tentatively approved
at the November 14, 2018 Board meeting.
Trustee Onayemi moved to approve the 2018 Township Tax Levy Ordinance in the
following amounts:
Town Fund $2,932,909
General Assistance 496,733
Mental Health 1,506,756
TOTAL $4,623,279
Trustee Trybus seconded the motion. On the call of the roll, the vote was as follows: ayes:
Trustees Trybus, Onayemi, Davis, Wiley and Supervisor Keenan; nays: none. A copy of
the Ordinance is attached to and made a part of these minutes.
PARKING AGREEMENT WITH MAYA DEL SOL RESTAURANT
Manager Morgan shared a draft of the proposed Parking Agreement with Maya del Sol
Restaurant for use of the Township Senior Services’ Parking Lot. Restaurant management
objected to the Township’s rate increase. The Board discussed market rates for
comparable spaces available in the area, and directed Mr. Morgan to move forward with
the agreement and costs, with the option of Maya del Sol approving or discontinuing its use
of the Township Parking Lot.
TOWNSHIP MANAGER’S REPORT
Manager Morgan reported that representatives of the Township auditing firm will present
the 2018 CAFR (Audit) to the Board at the January 8, 2019 Board Meeting. The Township
Financial Advisory Committee met on November 29 to begin its mission of oversight on
finances and operations, and will be meeting again on December 13. Finally, Senior
Services Director Pamela Mahn is giving an “Aging in Place” presentation to the VOP

Board on Senior Services provided to local residents.
SUPERVISOR’S REPORT
Supervisor Keenan reported that the Township’s Annual Holiday Party was held at the
Cheney Mansion on December 7 and enjoyed by attending staff and guests. She also
commended local photographer Amy Dean for her efforts in taking pictures at the event.
She also commended the Financial Advisory Committee members for their qualifications
and implementation of Committee tasks and procedures.
EXECUTIVE SESSION
Trustee Onayemi moved to enter Executive Session to discuss personnel matters at 8:38
p.m. Trustee Davis seconded the motion which passed unanimously.
The Board returned to open session at 9:12 p.m.
NEXT MEETING
The next meeting of the Oak Park Township Board of Trustees will be a Regular Board of
Trustees Meeting, at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 8, 2019, at the Oak Park Township Hall,
105 S. Oak Park Avenue, Oak Park, Illinois.

Trustee Wiley moved to adjourn at 9:13 p.m. Trustee Trybus seconded the motion which
passed unanimously.
