Elected Officials and Board Meetings

Oak Park Township is governed by an independently elected Township Board of Trustees. The Township Board consists of the Township Supervisor and four Trustees, elected at large from the township. The Clerk and Assessor are elected simultaneously with the Board. The Assessor does not vote. The Township Clerk votes only in the case of a tie vote to fill a vacancy in a township office.

Senior Services Transportation Manager

Oak Park Township Senior Services Center is seeking a full-time Transportation Manager.  The Transportation Manager supervises the Transportation programs of the Senior Services Department and is responsible for direct supervision of the Dispatcher and the Bus Drivers.

The Transportation Manager communicates regularly with Township staff at all levels to ensure that the Township policies and procedures are followed and participates as an active member of the Senior Services Leadership team and other committees and partner groups. The Transportation Manager works with partner organizations developing agreements to serve transportation needs in the community, as needed and in alignment with the Township mission.

Youth Services Administrative Assistant - part-time 30 hrs./wk.

The Youth Services Administrative Assistant provides support and assistance to the Youth Services Director in the administrative functions for the planning, development, implementation and delivery of the programs and services for Youth Services of Oak Park and River Forest Townships.
Essential Job Functions:
1. Maintains and updates contracted program information including agency, contact person, amount of contract, brief program description, reports, billing and payments; maintains a running balance of contracted dollar amounts. Works with the Youth Services Committee to update the RFP and is the liaison between the committee and the contractors.
2. Attends, records and transcribes Youth Services Committee minutes; determines information to include and assembles packets. Prepares the agenda each month.
3.Generates purchase orders for accounts payable; responsible for all correspondence to vendors and communications regarding billing discrepancies; maintains and updates vendor information.
4.Work with Director to create monthly statistics sheets, and is responsible for submitting the statistics sheet and monthly Director’s report to the Youth Services Committee and Youth Interventionist IGA partners.
5. Furnishes information or directs inquires for requests for information regarding programs and services for youth.
6.Coordinates requests for purchasing including supply orders; conducts research for upcoming purchases and secures estimates for large ticket items. Oversees design and ordering of forms, business cards, program brochures/marketing materials, letterhead and envelopes with printer.
7.Prepare the Quarterly Billing for the Youth Interventionist Inter-Governmental Agreement and provides a summary to the Director.
8.Handle all quarterly billing for the River Forest Administration bill.
9.Responsible for the Financial Aid Scholarships through Youth Services, including, maintaining and updating forms, managing the reports, and maintaining all records and allocated budget.
10. Maintains the Youth Services social media platforms.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.

Meal Delivery Volunteers Needed

Money Management Program Volunteers Needed

The Senior Services Department is seeking volunteers for its Volunteer Money Management Program. Only a few hours per month are required to help seniors in the community with their financial affairs. Please contact Vivian Holt, Program Coordinator, at (708) 383-8060 or 

Music Entertainment Artists Needed

Oak Park Township Senior Services seeks enthusiastic volunteers to perform a variety of music genres for the senior citizens who attend the Congregate Dining Program.  The Dining Program takes place Monday - Friday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in our Senior Services building, 130 S.
