“Streams” Exhibit By Keith J. Taylor On Display Through May 31st

at Senior Services

Oak Park Township Senior Services is proud to display the exhibit "Streams" - ink on paper drawings by artist and Oak Park resident Keith J. Taylor.  Mr. Taylor studied painting and printmaking at the University of Illinois Urbana/Champaign.  He won a Max Beckmann Scholarship to the Brooklyn Museum in 1973 where he worked with the painter Reuban Tam.  He has taught cartooning and drawing for over 35 years – most recently through the Oak Park Art League.  He was president of the Board of Directors of the Oak Park Art League from 2006-2010.

Mr. Taylor comments, “I like to think that “Streams” are the synthesis of the two key elements of my creative life – I love to draw and to make people laugh.  “Streams” pay homage to my cartoon and artist heroes – Robert Crumb, Gahan Wilson, Charles Addams, George Booth, Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Honoré Daumier and Paul Klee, to name a few.”  This exhibit entitled “Streams” is presented in partnership with the Oak Park Area Arts Council and will be in the community dining room of the Oak Park Township Senior Services building, 130 S. Oak Park Avenue until May 31st, 2017.
