Jackie Rueckert Lakely Paintings On Display Until October 31st, 2018

During the remainder of September and throughout October, Oak Park Township Senior Services, in partnership with the Oak Park Area Arts Council, is pleased to present the artwork of Jackie Rueckert Lakely. The exhibit shows two of Ms. Lakely’s favorite subjects:  fields and seasons. She works from her home studio and teaches classes in mixed media and watercolor at the Oak Park Art League on Thursdays and Saturdays.

Ms. Lakely is an Oak Park resident and displays her artwork at various galleries and community art spaces throughout the year.  She’ll also be part of the exhibit at Gather in Evanston in November and December.  Ms. Lakely describes her process: “I enjoy creating work that is multilayered and with areas that recede and then come forward within each layer.  I also like to incorporate a lot of drawing into my pieces.  All of these pieces are mixed media on board or canvas:  acrylic paint, graphite, ink, collage, oil pastel, and in a lot of them, image transfer.”

This exhibit is presented in partnership with the Oak Park Area Arts Council and is at the Oak Park Township Senior Services Center, 130 S. Oak Park Avenue until the end of October 2018.
