Part-Time Information & Assistance Specialist

Oak Park Township Senior Services is seeking a part-time (25 hours per week) Information & Assistance Specialist.  Primary responsibilities of this job include:

  • Researching, collecting, and updating resources available to assist older adults and adults with disabilities
  • Providing information to older adults, adults with disabilities, and their family members about community programs and services available to enhance their quality of life
  • Assessing consumer needs and linking them to the appropriate resources
  • Educating the public regarding the various services available to older adults and adults with disabilities

Strategic Prevention Framework Grant Coordinator

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage a grant funded by the Illinois Department of Human Services (IDHS) to reduce underage drinking in Oak Park and River Forest.  The position includes building, facilitating, and sustaining a cummunity coalition to develop and implement evidence-based strategies.  Specifically, the goal of the coalition, the Oak Park River Forest Workgroup for Positive Youth Development, is to reduce rates of drinking by 8th to 12th graders as reported in the bi-annual Illinois Youth Survey.  For a detailed job description, please click here.  Interested applicants should submit a resume by email by September 27th, 2017 to Angela Hill, ahill@oakparktownship.org.
